What Cancer Cannot Do

Cancer is so limited.
It cannot cripple love.
It cannot shatter hope.
It cannot erode faith.

It cannot destroy peace.
It cannot silence courage.
It cannot suppress memories
It cannot kill friendship
It cannot erode the spirit.
It cannot conquer the soul.

Memorials

My Mum, Sandra Elaine 'Sandi' Pile, 64, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2005, at her home after a courageous battle with breast cancer. By posting this memorial I and the rest of my family wish to share the wonderful spirit which we found daily in Mum. She had a zest for life and a contagious energy which spread to all who knew her. Her beautiful smile had a way of lighting up every room she entered.
My Mum is an amazing woman who now sits with the angels watching over her family and her loved ones. Throughout her personal struggle with Cancer Mum found the time to help in the fight against cancer, she had a strong desire to help further the research for a cure. We will continue on in that fashion.
The kindness and compassion Mum has shown to all who knew her will live on in their words and in their actions. We miss you Mum, but we know you will be forever with us in everything we do and everything we are. We will smile because you lived. We will open our eyes to all the wonderful things you have left behind in all of us, your family. We will cherish your memory and let it live on in everything we do. And finally, we will do as you would have wanted, smile and open our eyes, love & go on.

Joyce Kelley-Honea, 59, passed away May 9, 2005, one month after her friend, my Mum, Sandi Pile. Mum and Joyce were very close friends who supported one another through all that life handed them. To find a friendship like this is a very special gift which they cherished every day. I am posting this memorial to honor Joyce. She was a beautiful person with a heart of an angel; she touched all who knew her in a very special way. Joyce was very dear to my entire family, as she was to my Mum. She has been reunited with Mum and they are smiling and laughing once again. They both had a special affection for their pets and all animals.  We know they will both be with us in all of our actions and words. Mum and Joyce are watching over their families with love and pride in their hearts.
